"I Might Just Be Right"

Who would not like to write a book either fiction or non-fiction described as "one I could just not put down?"

Many of the books I see in stores today are ones I would happily put down, because they are so big and heavy it's hard to hold them in the traditional way we read books.

"I Might Just Be Right" is perfect for travel—small in size, light in weight and with varied subjects that might be discussed with a seatmate on a flight after drinks are served and tongues are loosened. At home, it's light enough to hold so the feeling isn't that one is still lifting bar bells at the local fitness club.

But, I hope, the size and weight of "I Might Just Be Right" is not reflected as light-weight topics in the book. For example, are all "loners" really all losers? One of our great American heroes was such a loner he became known as "The Lone Eagle." Hint. He was not a quarterback for the Philadelphia NFL football team.

But sports is one of the categories of columns and feature stories in this little book, and therein lies a little advice and lots of inspiration.

After moving to southern Arizona in the fall of 1999, John taught journalism at Pima Community College in Tucson and restarted his own journalism career. Late in 2005 he published "I Might Just Be Right," a collection of his newspaper columns and feature stories used from the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson to The Washington Post.
